Should You Say "I Do" to the iPhone?

Most of you have probably seen the iPhone. Invented by Apple, the iPhone is part cell phone, part Internet browser, part iPod, part anything else you could possibly need. My fiancé has an iPhone. I must say, it's pretty cool and very user-friendly. However …
If I buy an iPhone, I make many of the gadgets that I already own (many of which I just recently purchased) useless. Why use my video iPod when I can listen to music and watch videos on my iPhone? Why check my e-mail and browse the Internet with my BlackBerry when I can do both on my iPhone?
By investing several hundred dollars in an iPhone, I'm basically throwing hundreds of dollars worth of other useful tools out the window. In the end, my bank account is the one that looses.
I'd love to hear what others think.

I have an iPhone, I also have an iPod, a RIO MP3 Player, home stereo, home phone, and as retarded as it may seem I still use them all. I also have a Palm Treo, that as soon as my service agreement is up, will go buh bye, true, but when you are a gear head, and you play with toys, it is sometimes the price you pay. Some things just work better!!! I will say this, my 80Gig iPod classic holds more stuff, so I get more diverse movie, podcast and listening choices with it than my 8gig iPhone. My phone is a fun toy that can do alot of things including GPS navigation, but I still use my TomTom in the car... just more reliable, and it is mounted to my windshield, talks to me, and warns me of traffic. My other toys still get played with, is it a waste? Depends on what you want it for. Any all in one device is only as good as... well any other all in one device. Food for thought.
