A Cheaper Way to Rent?
Posted by Unspoken, Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 12:00 PM by Unspoken

My husband and I are total DVD lovers--we're really into all the show business behind-the-scenes special features and stuff. Problem is, all that showbiz nerdiness can add up to some hefty late fees at our local video store. Does anyone know a way we can rent more cheaply?

Netflix, you pay a monthly fee, you get certain amount of movies mailed to you depending on your plan, and as soon as you send another one back, they mail the next one on your list. No late fees, no return date. Keep in mind, if you have the basic plan, you pay 9.99 a month, but if you keep the same movie for 3 months, you just paid 30.00 to hold that movie. My suggestion, is rent from redbox for a dollar, watch the movie that night, and if it is really that great where you wanna keep it to look at all the features, go out and buy the movie. They are around 10 to 20 a piece anyway. Then if you get tired of the movie, join an online movie trading club, where you trade with other people for their movies.
